Today we’re taking pictures at the park for the new website. It feels strange to me because I’m usually the one behind the camera! Like most women, I worry: Will they turn out okay?
Then I arrive and see my friend. I like her work. I like her! “We’ll be fine,” she assures me. And the Southern sunshine is so inviting. It’s wonderful to be in the park on such a beautiful day. I start to relax.
Isn’t it reassuring to know? The Bible tells us we’re all like simple clay pots, displaying spectacular treasure inside. (That’s 2 Corinthians 4:7, Laura’s paraphrase.) I don’t mind being a simple clay pot. That just shows off how amazing God is, as his love, his presence, and his power flood my life.
On any given day, it doesn’t matter too much whether we feel like dirty flower pots or sparkling crystal bowls from Tiffany’s. Either way, the Lord offers to fill us with his glittering presence to such a degree that it will take everyone’s breath away.
Empowered love…empowered joy…empowered peace…such glittering treasure!
